Right... having NOT eaten pate for the past 26 weeks.... I found this on another site....

Pates
It’s okay to eat:

Meat pastes in jars
Tinned pate; pasteurised, vacuum-packed pate; UHT treated pate
Pasteurised pate in tubes (except liver pate)

It’s best to avoid:

All fresh pates (meat, fish and vegetable)
All liver products

So... do you think its ok... to have stuff from Tesco's or M&S thats pre-packed?? OR are u stil going to not?

I'm a bit confused....

omg ive been avoiding pate as well and i love the stuff, PLEASE say its ok to eat lol

Im confused aswell!!

I would probably scrutinise the labels and look out for anything that confirmed the pate was pasteurised, vacuum-packed pate; UHT treated pate.

I love pate too, but one quote isn't enough to make me change my mind. Any more info on where this came from? Would love to read more...

I love pate, and have avoided it so far!!!

ARGH, someone tell me!

I would still steer well clear. Liver pates have vit A which should be avoided at all times. Can't see how if pate is pasturised this would make any difference at the vit A will still be there?!

I have eaten quite a few things that perhaps I shouldn't have during this pregnancy, but pate and mouldy cheeses are the 2 things that I won't compromise on....

Personal choice at the end of the day I guess.

Good point..about the Vit A.
I suppose another few months won't make so much difference ay...
Better to be safe than sorry.

:) THanks for your comments ladies
