i know wot u mean i can spend ages making a realli nice meals then the lil monkey wont eat it dunno y i bother

I buy "Peter Rabbit" pasta sauce from tesco (in the baby food aisle)

I also want to cook some pasta twirls and melt a bit of grated cheese on them under the grill for finger food :)

Oscar LOVES fresh filled pasta. Here he's having pasta stuffed with Ricotta and Spinach!

Sarah...
Pesto, cream cheese & sweetcorn is very nice too.

wots pesto ?

Basil, pinenuts, olive oil, garlic & parmesan cheese.... blended to a paste. Ask in your Tesco's or any other supermarket.

When you've boiled the pasta, you just add a good dollop of pesto - lurvely!!

Gosh Emilia, I feel so ashamed of myself, I am afraid of Thomas chocking so i never gave him ig food like this. even finger food i never gave him    I tried to put some lumps in his food but won't have it, just wants smooth ones. I need to stop being so overprotective towards Thomas or poor him he will never do things :shakehead:

Emilia have just been to teso and bought some filled pasta bonus 2 for £2.50 :D

seems quite a high salt content for 1/2 pack but don't think he'll eat that much, can never remmeber the daily allowance :?

I think babies are best having no salt, but definitely no more than 1mg... if I can remember correctly!

Another fabby food is Gnocchi.... you'll find it beside the pastas. In chilled section and on the shelf. It is made from potato.

I am wary of salt, but I do make most of Oscars' food myself, so occassionally when he eats something shop bought, I don't worry too much.

Futuremum... don't worry! You can start with giving him finger foods like ripe pears, bananas, papaya & mango. Check out the Blackboard specials for recipe ideas.

feediing your family or forum

How many food and cooking threads have you got now!

I never give Damien things like Pesto, etc. We don't cook things like that in our house so Damien doesn't have it. Costs and arm and a leg to eat fresh all the time  Feel like a bad bad bad mother now compared to you lot
