started given LO pasta as finger foods which he seems to like, but im woundering if i can add sacuse to it ? if so what kind of sauces do u use im worried about salt/suga levels ETC what else can i do to make it a bit more tasty rather than give him boring plain pasta?

Passata (sieved tomatoes) is nice and you could add little pieces of courgette, pepper, mushroom etc.

Blend it if you like it smooth.

Or pesto. Stanley loves that too.

Or a bit of tuna mixed with a soft cheese?

Annabel Karmel does a range at boots of pasta sauces

Keeley loves them :D

Also you could make your own with tinned tomatoes :)

homemade pesto. I usually add rocket or even broccoli to get that extra portion of veggies in!

also, tuna and sweetcorn, with grated cheese. That's a favourite in our house.

sometimes I give the girls just plain pasta with a little olive oil and grated parmesan, they love it.

We used, for convenience, Dolmio Kids pasta sauces in the sachets as it can be microwaved, had no nasties on the ingredients and we could use a small amount and refridgerate or freeze the rest for another time. We you have done a full days work and need something quick and simple to give a hungry little one to try then reading the ingredients on packets becomes the norm!!
