What food would you serve at a 1 year olds party? All kids are 5 and under and mums and dads will be there. Its not in my home either so I've got to take it with me

Party bags, go to the pound shop they do packs of 6 bubble pots for £1, shove in a balloon, a whistle, a lollipop and anything else small like that, then pop in a bit of cake and that should be that. They have a party bit in tescos usually near the cards but maybe not suitable for a 1 year old.

As for the food, things like mini pizzas and cocktails sausages. Maybe a bowl of corn crisps like wotsits or something they're not going to have trouble with. Are they going to sit down and eat? If they are some teeny tiny sandwich triangles would be nice.

Fab thread! I was going to ask this. I was thinking sandwiches, sausage rolls, other stuff you see at a buffet.

Breadsticks, houmous, cream cheese sandwiches, sausages, cheese, ham, fruit. Personally I wouldn't put lollipop in party bag as they make me nervous with little children. Those little bags of buttons or mini stars are good- although you might have some parents who I haven't given their lo chocolate yet. Ikea do bags of finger puppet toys which are good to put one if the toys in party bag.

I was thinking the same about sweets in the party bags. Might put some boxes of raisins in and maybe milky bar buttons then mums could always eat them! Got some bags of bath toys from dunelm yesterday and some bubbles, was thinking maybe a balloon for mum to blow up?
I suppose food wise babies don't eat a lot but the adults might want something. Might do 50/50 with healthy stuff least people can choose what they want to give to their baby then

These are brilliant! Not sure I can make them to take with us though!

I got some bubbles and sweeties in Wilkos, they had some good decorations too x

Also if you are doing helium balloons. As long as not got too many little ones there get a balloon each. At daughters first and second party it's all the little ones wanted to play with so had one for them to take home each. Just got ordinary balloons and a helium cylinder and did them myself
