It's been recently that I've been going for a number 2 and I get awful pains in front of my belly once when I've been going then about a minute after I've stopped the pains stop. The pains are like a big pressure and pain all in one. Babys been bit quiet on the movements but I get the odd flutter here and there. I just don't know If anyone else has experienced this and is it normal. Tried contacting midwife last week but cause she turns her phone off all the days she doesn't work (I tried her at the clinic and no answer) so I never hear from her! Didn't know if I should make a doctors appointment?

If anyone has advice or experienced this any advice would be great xxxx

I've been getting ibs pains which mean i get cramps and once ive gone pains stop. Not sure if it's the same Hun? Sorry what about phoning maternity depart at local hospital normally quite good at helping x x

Hey... I would seek doctors advise on any worries chick, better to be safe or you could phone the NHS Helpline, they are quite good at easing concerns. x

I'd still say see someone - but I also know what you mean! Or I think I do.

My tummy muscles have had a lot of damage due to rapid weight gain in my late teens, then rapid weight loss in early 20's when I became anorexic - I became pregnant with the first while still ill and had to wear a bump band to hold the loose tummy bits together, it hurt so much. I'm on pregnancy number 4 and with each one, straining even normally for a number 2 can cause this feeling of pressure and pain across the front, specially if constipated in the first trimester, or normally when bump has started to come out of the pelvic cavity. Anything I do now which causes me to need those muscles has the same or similar effect on that part of my tummy. I've never seen someone about it but I'm still standing. But don't necessarily take my lead, better be safe than sorry (I have so many other health problems all the time, I've never asked about it).
