out 2 play?

hey all was just wondering what age did u let ur little ones out to play? as in out the garden and into the street or to the park or that without u?

I live in a quiet cul de sac and first let lacey out the front of the house to play with the neighbours kids at 3 but she wondered off one of the times so I band her for the rest of the summer! She's almost 4 now and goes out to play but I've set ground rules and she sticks to them cos I've told her she'll be band again if she walks off! I've also told her if anyone she doesn't know tries to walk off with her then scream but I think it's too quiet to get weridos around here!

My girls will be playing in the garden until they are 18

Caitlins 2 half year old I can't see me being comfy at 3 even but then area will have a lot to do with it, in fact no I don't think it will, my Caitlins no fear. My girls can go through to the garden on nice days - As they have to go through the kitchen I open up the playpen as a gate (these can be secured to walls.

My kids are 4 and 6 and I dont let them play outside on their own, only in the garden. I would rather they had their friends in the garden and I knew where they were than they were out where i wasnt sure and not knowing who they with xxx

My girls are 4 & 5 they play in the garden on their own with the gate locked, they played out the front last summer and i sat on the front door step to keep watch, but after a few times out there i just didnt like the children they were playing with so dont let them out there now.

Dan was about 7-8 before he was allow out in the street on his own. I think Dec will be older as he is a little crazier than Dan ever was !!! lol

monty is 5 will be 6 in nov and he hasnt played out yet only in the garden. The boy from next door comes in to play and the other day asked if monty could go in there I really didnt want him to but the mam said she would walk him back to our gate when they were done, I think she thought i was crazy as she lets her little boy play out all over.
But I just cant help it, it makes me feel ill I just cant relax, If he was playing out the whole time I would be think he is going to get took or run over or bite off a dog.
I know the day will come that I have to let him but I dunno when that will be.

My little boy is nearly 4 and i only let him play in the garden. We live in a very quiet cul -de-sac but he only ever plays out the front if we are there. The other children in the close never go out on their own either. xx

I let kieran out to play in the street when he just turned 7. Until then i had his friends come round or he went to his frieds' house to play in their garden.

Its so hard 'letting go' but they have to be let out some time. I worry myself sick everytime he goes out even tho he is quite streetwise. He turns 8 on thursday so i guess its time i let him go a bit further than our estate xx
