Is anyone else doing this?

You pack a shoe box with goodies for a child and the Samaritans ship it to kids from disaster/war torn areas.

I've just had a big sort out of Mason's old toys and things and have got about a bin bags worth of stuff  I don't have that many shoe boxes so I put them on freecycle asking if any OCC reps wanted them. My local girls brigade is coming to get them.

We used to do this when I was at school!!

Thats a fab idea! Im looking into sponsoring a child but I think this is something that any parent can do if they dont want the monetary commitment.

Thanks for sharing :D
