was at a party last night and ate lots of blue cheese! you're not meant to are you? Will it matter if I am pregnant and ate it this once? I don't usually like the stuff anyway but last night I was stuffing my face with it!

ah well, I'm probably not anyway!

dont worry hun we have all done things before we knew we were pregnant, i went to a theme park and went on all the roller coasters

thanks - is blue cheese a really bad one though - for future information

i know they tell u not to eat it hun so i would steer clear

Hi Rose,

You're advised not to eat it in pregnancy in case it is infected with lysteria, which is dangerous for the baby.

Wouldn't advise eating it once you know you're preggers. Maybe your gorge has put you off for a while.....

Like mary70 said, we don't follow all the rules before we find out.

Best wishes for a BFP!!

I wouldn't worry hun, I ate pate, a rare steak and drank loads of wine 2 days before i got my bfp!! There is a risk of salmonella/lysteria in certain foods but it's like a one in a million chance of getting anything. Just think of the hundreds of women out there who have eaten/drunk all these foods and gone on to have perfectly healthy children.

thanks. feel a bit silly as don't think a bfp's on the way anyway but just wanted to be sure!

jsykes1975 it certainly has put me off - like I said I don't actually like it!

Please don't worry, the chance of lysteria are really really small which is the concern with eating blue cheese.

These are all guidelines and I have been to loads of meals and things where me and all my friends eat blue cheese and never ever ever get ill from it.
