We're staying GREEN!
Despite my hint-dropping, OH was determined not to budge and we have remained uncoloured. But I'm glad now I didn't cave, I know that I'll prefer the surprise in the end - I'm just a bit impatient that's all
We had to wait 2 blooming hours - there was no way I was hanging on for a wee that long! I ended up going 3 times while waiting, and when we went in the sonographer said baby was lying head down, using my bladder as a pillow. Aww, how sweet - hmmmm!
All looked OK, measurements etc fine. We were impressed that the scan was so clear, it's like you can really make out the face and everything. He/she was lying with both hands tucked under its right cheek (just how I sleep!!!) - in the top picture you can see the arm wrapping round the face; the hand is tucked in on the other side of the head. As some of you may/may not remember, a problem came up in my bloods a few weeks back to do with clotting/DVT, so they've booked me in for another scan at 32 weeks to check that baby is growing OK, as a clot in the cord may hinder his/her development, though the chances of this are slim (thankfully). I was actually pretty chuffed when they said I'll get to see baby again - I really enjoy the scans, they're so fascinating!
A bit of a bummer was that we were planning on a lazy holiday in Morocco end of Jan (29/30 weeks) and the holiday company said as long as I had travel insurance to cover me and a doctors note to fly I'd be OK - but we can't get a docs note cos of the clotting thing. In fact she advised me to go somewhere ASAP and no further than 2hrs - you can't go anywhere sunny in less than two hours Never mind, I'd rather be safe than sorry - back to the drawing board with the holiday plans though!
Anyway, enough rambling from me! Here's what you've really been waiting for... What do you reckon - pink or blue? I have a pic of my belly in tummy pics section too if that helps you decide...!!!
