Omeprazole + sleeping new routines

Damien has had his Ranitidine changed to Omeprazole but it seems like he hates it. He spits it out so it must taste funny? Is anyone elses baby on this/been on this who have some tips for getting him to take it?

The paed who discharged him from hospital yesterday said maybe try making his last feed 8pm instead of 10pm. Any idea's on how I can toally re-arrange his routine to have a earlier feed? He won't go down till 10pm and I'm not the kind of mum who can let him cry it out till he falls asleep, as he gets in a state, pukes and chokes.

Any idea's would me much appreciated. Thanks. xxx

Poor little man!! I think he 'has been so brave already taking so many medicines!!! you probably need to give him time to reajust to his new medicine! But I can't really help, I have no experience in all of this!

For the routine, hun, I'd say bring his feed earlier little by little, 10minutes first, for a couple of days and again and again, etc...

That's what I did for Maheen when she got rid of one feed, I had to rearrange the whole routine for her to feel hungry again and drink!! (she is alwaus fussing so much for her feeds!!! )

I don't think it's wise to expect a baby to change his whole feeding routine, just like this, especially if it's been going on for a while!
