OH to take pictures

I think i would like hubby to take pictures of me in the middle of labour and the baby being born (as long as he can enjoy the moment too) because last time it flew by and I lost track of time and reality so it would be nice to have something to look back on. Or it might just annoy me at the time lol. If it's a water birth at least you can't see any bits so it's a bit more private.

Might even ask him to jot down on his phone what happened at different times and how dilated i was etc because last time I didn't hear anything lol.

Has anyone else thought about this?

my OH would pass out, hes the type of person to be by the door leaning on the wall or sitting with his head in between his legs! i think the last thing on his mind will be piccies! i would however like some taken soon after shes born, not sure i want to be reminded of labour photos lol xxx

I like the idea,the only photos I've got of any of my labours is just b4 I went in wiv my 1st. But I think I'd punch my dh if he tried takin any,I nearly lamper him for makin jokes whilst I was contractin last night (felt like 1 of them crazy women off 1 born every minute lol) xx

My OH was awful when i went into labour (vomiting and having diahorrea with blood in it for hours) and he always thought he wouldn't want to watch it come out but he was so excited when she was actually on the way that he did look at her being born and he loved it! So he might surprise you! Or faint.. Haha.

He got a great pic of when she was placed on me as soon as she was born. Then one of her naked on the weighing scale etc, I love them.

I've thought about this a few time's too, and debated between would I actually want piccies getting taken during labour or should I just wait untill baby arrives. I like the idea of OH taking some pics during the labour and when the baby is coming out, I mean it's not like we're going to show everyone " oh here's a pic of my labour but just excuse the stretched foof with the baby coming out", I mean those kind are private but would be a nice memory of what happened. I've also thought about just taking the video camera into the labour room, but my partner isnt too keen on it, Not sure if he just think's i'm kidding though lol. I mean I know he's wanting to be kinda near the bottom to be able to watch our baby arriving but we'll need to wait and see about the video camera/photo's getting taken during the labour. Think i've still got some sweet talking to do for him to stare through a camera instead of being able to just watch our baby arrive.
My mum and sister dont think it's right to take the video camera in and video the labour, but at the end of the day, it's my labour and my baby being born so it's really upto me if I want it video'd or pics getting taken at the time !

Ive got a dashing photo of me about 2 hours before having Paige lol. Just the one, and Im so glad Ive got it. Id say do it. If he's anything like Paiges dad, he was bored sh*tless during labour (hence why he took the photo lol) so it might give him something to do and a memory for you! I forgot how large I was

Yeah as long as it's not in the way of your OH enjoying the moment and instead worrying about pictures. If my OH doesnt feel up to it at the time or just forgets then no harm done, but I just would love to relive DD's birth as weird as that sounds. I can't remember much

And def not showing people the pictures lol just for my eyes only!

Aww it's nice to have the only one i have before the birth was 3 days before she arrived! I love the name Paige btw.

Thank you It was the only name we could agree on lol. FOB took a photo of me just before being induced and then 2 while in labour (like I said, I think it was out of boredom) and theyre not flattering lol, but its nice to have lol. I might shove it on here tomorrow lol. Its just me crossed legged on the bed attempting to stay calm. I made him take a second photo though so I could smile in it. Ive never seen such a scary smile!
