May i ask what in particular you suffered with as in your ocd? Thanks. xxx

I have ocd traits associated with my Aspergers Syndrome.

Hmm, not to keen to go into details in public but I could PM you. What sparked your question, out of interest? (I'm guessing by your empathic comments that you also have OCD?)

i dont know, im pretty sure im obsessive but never been to docs about it, :/ mine is about symmetry, like obsessed like i have to park in a COMPLETE straight line, if i get a letter in the post it HAS to be folded right or i cant read it, patterns, if theyre not accurate, like i lifted tiles off my bathroom in my last house because the pattern was wrong  xxx

Well i have a bit of everything with ocd,
checking rituals about plugs and things
hygiene with the flat
hygiene with myself
obsessions about stuff down the side of my sofa lol
and little picky paranoia/insecurity things in my relationships
and constant worrying and anxiety
so a whole range really!
I asked as am an expectant mother i am interested in how other mums and pregnant ladies cope x x x x x

That sounds just like me, I def have a hygiene issue - I HATE people coming over unannounced without me cleaning and putting spray and airfreshner etc . I also have a big issue with my smell . I worry about farting and pooing which stops ne doing a lot of stuff ! Since having Owen I'm trying to just cope and ignore the panics And anxiety I get xx

My doctor seems to think I have it, and maybe I do, but I think I'm just particular!
Thing is my daughter might have picked things up from me without me realsieing as she wont touch the grass when she comes down off her slide, or if she gets her hands wet on the grass she's asking for them to be wiped constantly, infact she's always asking for wipes!

I never htought about the smell thing before but I am a bit funny with smells too to the pont of maybe being a bit rude without meaning to be

Olfactory reference is suppose to be a subtype of OCD a bit Like body dysmorphic disorder is u know?

From Wikipedia :
'Olfactory Reference Syndrome (ORS) (also referred to as Autodysomophobia[1]) is a psychiatric condition in which the affected person is excessively preoccupied by the concern that one's body odor is foul or unpleasant. This disorder is often accompanied by shame, embarrassment, significant distress, avoidance behavior, social phobia and social isolation.[1][2] ORS is not recognised by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, however it is considered by many to be a sub-type of Body dysmorphic disorder. ORS links obsessive and compulsive aspects. Sufferers may have trouble concentrating at a given task or in particular situations due to obsessive thoughts concerning body odor.'

Aspergers is a form of autism. i un a website on it. type assgo in google.

I suffered really badly from it as a child/teenager :-(. Mostly controlled now unless I'm very stressed. I have to have clean clothes so still do a lot of washing but can cope with that. It was the hand washing that used to kill me (my hands were in a right state for years)

I suffer badly from anxiety which doesn't help and I do wonder if it will come back when blump is born.

Yes i am obsessed by clean!! everything has to be clean and i have a ritual that i have to do! i also suffer with anxiety and body dysmorphia , i dont see what others see and i am ashamed of myself . The cleaning for me is the worst and hit a peak after my daughter was born to the point where it spirraled out of control, its a better now and i think it has to do with how unhappy i am , when i get stressed or down i start madly cleaning . I also have to peg my laundry out in size order, check things out at the checkout in order and as someone else said clean clothes , i wash everything as soon as i've worn it and sometimes change twice a day x
