Hi girls -
As some of you might know, my screen name is not at all indicative of how I look, it's more the opposite. I am a large lady. I'm 5 foot 8 and 92 kilos. I was 15 kilos lighter 18 weeks into my first pregnancy!
Anyhoo, seeing as I know that at the end of this pg (if it sticks
) I will be a whopping 17 stone, which is scary, I made an appointment with a nutritionist to get some advice.
After a 2 hour interview session she's advised me to get rid of Coke and soft drinks ( addict here) and halve my tea intake to 4 cups a day. I also have to reduce the sugar in my tea and take more wholegrain starches like brown rice and buckwheat pasta. Plenty of nuts and seeds, fish and good proteins, and less bread and potatoes.
I also have to eat something, if only a snack, every two to three hours because my blood sugar has been dropping and making me feel weak and tired more often. I just can't stop eating at the moment because I'm constantly hungry.
While I could see the sense in all she said, I cannot help feeling that it's going to be a hungry 9 months!
Sue
