I'm dreading the thought of leaving her but can't afford not to work when my maternity leave is up. Was planning to go back in October but now I'm hoping I can milk it till December which is when I can get a full time place at nursery.

I have a nursery that is literally a 2 minute walk from my house (its sister nursery has won awards and this nursery was nominated) so we went for a look today. Was a scary thought because the manager (who I actually found out was in the year above me at school) asked if I wanted to leave her with the other babies while we had a look round   . Decided to leave her and in typical Becky fashion she had a ball staring at the baby gyms and cooing at the staff.

The place itself was lovely, bright rooms and even a seperate sleeping room for the babies. The staff were lovely too - in many nurseries I've been to it's bored teens working in them, everyone there was older and looked so happy at their work. They have a HUGE garden and it's all just lovely. I can't believe she's only almost 2 months old and I actually have to think about forking out for a deposit for this!

The question is I think I've kind of set my heart on this place - do I bother going to look at the other nursery which is a 20 minute walk away (I don't drive)? Or do I go for my gut instinct and go for it?

I'd have a look at the other one as well TBH just to be sure :)

i agree. I fell in love with Seren's nursery staright away but had a look at others just to make sure. The other one just made me realise how good Seren's was :)

Id look at the other just in case but your gut instinct is normally the way to go :D

Logan has his name down to attend James' old nursery after xmas. im dreading it already!
my mum looked after james from 6 months, and he didnt start nursery till 18 months, it was much easier knowing my mum had him one to one.james loved nursery though and got loads out of it academically and socially
