Sorry if this is the wrong area of the forum for this but I keep getting thrush and it's really bothering me! Me and DH have been trying to conceive for about 3 months, but I have this problem where I get thrush fairly frequently, and even after trying to treat it, it sometimes burns after sex, which is not a nice feeling :( Also I'm worried that it's affecting our chances as it might kill off the little spermies! Any advice anyone? And do you know if it affects TTC chances? xx

There is no evidence that thrush can effect fertility so dont worry about that! As far as helping it have you tried eating natural yogurt? that can help. Sorry not much help xx

Don't know anything about it affecting things but are u both treating yourselves and not just u? Just a thought and good.luck x x

See your doctor, getting thrush frequently should be treated by a doctor. Also Liz is right, ur hubby should be treated too as if ur getting rid of it then having sex and he has it you will just bounce it back and forth to each other. Xx

Wss ^^ you need to go to the doctors they can prescribe stronger creams or pessaries. And you will both need to be treated at the same time and refrain from sex for a week or so. I hate thrush, so flipping annoying.

Best of luck to you x x x

I use to get that and had the problem for over a year. I went to 3 different docs had SOOOOOO many swabs taken all came back saying it was thrush so they would just give me another script.

Then one time I was at the Chemist/pharmacy and I complained about it. She said don't take the meds because they are treating the symptoms not what is causing it. Just take one probiotic (the strong ones that need to refridgerated) a day until the whole bottle is gone and use the over the counter cream for now. I thought stuff it something I haven't tried I had a month or so to pick up the script so could always come back. I followed what she said and I NEVER have had it again. It's been 6 years now.

I do however make sure i eat high probiotic yoghurt every other day but that's it.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the help girls - I know I'm probably passing it to him as well, so annoying! Will get it checked out, and also try the yoghurt! Didn't know that could make a difference! My down below bits just always seem a little unhappy lol! xx
