Not pooped in a while...normal?

Hi,

DD is bf and I haven't seen a poop for a while...we are on at least day 3 of this.

Is this ok? Should I give her water or anything?

We went through this once also a few weeks back (9w old, ebf). Pediatrician said that ebf babies can go up to 10 days without pooping and its quite normal. But if you're concerned, just get some medical advice perhaps for peace of mind.

Also, it's not advised to give water to babies until they're at least 6 months old.

Apparently after about 6 weeks of age, bf babies can go a few days without pooing and this is perfectly normal as long as the poo is soft and not struggling to pass it. Though if you are concerned it is always best to go to the doctors for reassurance. xx
