 I know Breastfed babies sometimes dont poo alot as they are getting all they need so ther for have not much waste.

But she hasnt pooed for two days :? Shes a very grunty baby, she constantly grunts and farts, but seems sometimes quite uncomfortable with it, do you think she could be constipated?

I have been giving her infacol which has stoped her being sick all the time and over the past two days shes hasnt been sick at all, but this is also how long she hasnt pooed for, do you think then maybe shes just getting what she needs?

Im confussed :| is my baby ok?

Could you try cup-feeding her a little cooled boiled water? That may help if it's constipation :?

I don't know much about breastfeeding, can you do that?

I've copied this out of the book my doc gave me
Normally a newborn infant does it quite frequently, eight to ten times a day for about four weeks until the frequency drops to about one to two times per day by the eighth week. But there is a very firm school of thought amongst many physicians that even up to four days without a bowel movement, for breast-fed babies, is no cause for alarm. Breast milk is well constituted, so that the whole of it is absorbed by the baby’s digestive system, and what passes as stool is some curdled protein and stomach juices and mucus.

Feel your baby's abdomen and make sure that she isn't in pain. A healthy abdomen should feel soft rather than hard. A hard or distended abdomen is a sign that the baby may be full of gas, which usually means she is constipated. If thats the case id give NHS direct a ring and see what the recommend.

This happened with Leorah and then she finally did a super poo after a few days! Apparantley breastmilk is easily used for growing etc so there is less waste coming out! The frequency changes quite a lot depending on how much is being used. Its worrying at first but as long as she seems happy I don't think you have to worry :)

:cheer: its ok panic over shes pooed :rotfl:

Thank u for the info Melanie, I think shes ok her stomachs not really hard or anything at the moment but is sometimes when she has trapped wind, if this keeps happening I will talk to the Hv, I see her tomorow so I will ask, thank u
