I was wondering what nipple cream you used there seems to be a huge variation on price and don't want to buy something that is useless.

A friend of mine said not to be without Lansinoh cream.

I think its pricey though, and no good if you are allergic to lanolin.

yeah i used lansinoh cream it is really good and the small tube lasts ages

Sorry no advice as I haven't ever used any but I was hoping this would be mentioned as I remember seeing loads of posts about Lansinoh, but couldn't remember what it was called. My mum offered to buy me one when I told her there was a lot of talk about a good one but it was expensive. As we are entitled to free prescriptions, I wonder if we can get this free too? May be worth asking the doctor before buying it.

Most nipple creams contain Lanolin which is the active soothing ingredient in Lansinoh cream. The Avent stuff works well and is slightly cheaper than Lansinoh cream
