Thanks girls... i didn't get my sweep yesterday, the midwife was running really behind and couldn't make it, although she came today. I didn't get it today either. My stupid cervix is posterior, only medium in consistancy and so closed she didn't stand a chance of doing a sweep, even after she'd walked it round a bit. I have no idea whether it'll stay where she put it or move back again - does anyone know? She's booked me in for a second attempt next Saturday

Lee Evans was fantastic though! Glad i went although i was massively uncomfortable in the rather small chairs

Sorry to hear you never got your sweep hun, hope things start off before your next one.
Glad you enjoyed Lee Evans :) x x

Me too! My SPD has been loads better since LO engaged but after being prodded and poked, my pelvis is sore again today. She did get a bit of a show, so hopefully things are now moving in the right direction. Wish she'd been able to do it yesterday so Lee Evans could have cheered me up, now i just feel down. I seem to be getting nowhere, i've had no Braxton Hicks contractions at all and the midwife's advice to go for lots of walks is just a no-no, i did explain to her that i can't stand up for more than 6 mins or so at a time because i get really dizzy and sick (i can't even shower standing up, i have to sit on the floor) but she seems to have missed that bit of info completely

Bless you hunny :hugs:
Come on little one Mummy wants/needs to meet you.
Do you have a birthing ball hun? That normally helps with my SPD (but mine definetly doesnt sound no where near as bad as yours) plus it might help get things to progress x x

I do, i tend to lie across it as i'm a tad on the short side so being fully engaged doesn't mean my ribcage got a rest  My SPD is actually not that bad, which i think is a lot down to my bosses reducing me to part time hours to give my body some rest. I struggle to roll over in bed, get up off the sofa and it can be painful to walk round but since she's been engaged, i've been in a lot less pain as LO's head seems to be stopping my pelvis from knocking back together again. It just got a bit tugged on today so its more tender than it has been for a few weeks
