new to this section..PAYPAL question

Hi Ladies

I am one of those who never thought of buying or selling things online..for the thought of it not being safe at all to use my credit card..
I know about paypal..but never used it or asked about it..
any of u have an account?
is it safe?
do u use ur normal credit card? with all ur money or have a special one for the net???
plz tell me as i am on my way to start buying and selling things online

It's very straightforward. I use my normal credit card - most companies cover you buying things online if anything goes wrong (rare).

You can put in your credit card number or also transfer money from your bank account if you want to pay for things. If you don't transfer money or have money in your PayPal account it will automatically take the balance from your credit card. It's good because it means that you don't have to reveal your card number to anyone but PayPal.

With regards to receiving money there is a small fee on each transaction but you can withdraw the money easily to your bank account (free over £50, 25p if you want to withdraw less than £50).

Just beware of fake emails pretending to be from PayPal, there are a lot floating around.
