on the telly there was something on about a new Jabs (missed most of it) for babies from birth to 2
wot is it all about?

I guess that they've tested and tested and retested this jab to make sure there are no side effects, but is anyone else nervous that it's our children that are going to be amoungst the first to try it?

Apperantly, according to Dr Chris on This morning
it has been out for ages and we are one of last countries to get it America have had it for years
Any guesses as to why we haven't had it til now???????????

It's expensive

I am a bit nervous Kina but am mad that Emily won't get it

I can't wait for Brody to get his, I think it's great news.

Our local surgery only has 10 vaccines in so goodness knows when Isaac will get his.

I'm really keen for him to have this particular one.

keryn got her jags on monday and she got the new vaccine and was fine with it
they give them it in the other leg from the other immunisation

im a bit worried though yesterday(tuesday) and today(wednesday) she has been very upset and crying non stop except when shes sleeping i dont know whats wrong?

:D Finn had to go for his second lot today, and they talked about this to us - as he has already started his course of jabs,he only had the one jab, missed out on the men c jab,and now we have to wait to see when we go for what they called the catch up jabs - I was going to post today to ask for more info, but I'll take a look at the link that jo posted-thanks for that! :D

Abi had hers months ago in Australia and shes been fine, think theres more chance of baby catching meningitis than side effects of injection :)

Hi

Im not sure if we have that here?
is that the meningococcal C Conjugate wow taht was long if so we have it?
Katrina

i havent heard anything from my doc but my friends baby is getting it today

Rebecca has hers on the 14th-she has just gotten over meningitis, and in my views, I would rather her suffer a few minor side effects than go thru bacterial meningitis.

She had viral meningitis and now this week diagnosed with bronchitis (common after meningitis) this would have been prevented if she had had the jab. a little late.

And trust me, seeing your baby so very ill is not nice
