I have just copied the pm I sent to ejjie save me typing it all out again...here goes...

Yes i'm over the moon about my positives, i'm going try get in dr's tomorrow to get referred. I've been a little mithered and worried today though :( silly me decided to do the 2nd clearblue digi in the pack just because it was THERE! I think i'm still a poas addict lol...But yesterdays test came up 'pregnant 2-3' which means I concieved 2-3 weeks ago which makes me 4-5 weeks pregnant but todays said 'pregnant 1-2'...I was so gutted, it's making me wonder weather my hcg levels are dropping and i'm having a m/c or chem pregnancy :( I hope the test is wrong I really do...STUPID new advanced technology...if it was a normal test i'd be non the wiser and wouldn't be worrying so much. With whats happened though, the instructions tell me to speak to dr so that's what i'm going have to do. everythings ok.

why would that happen?

It could be anything hun - you might have had more to drink today, had slightly less concerntrated urine, held it in for fractionally less time - there are so many variables!

The positive thing is it definitely says pregnant again today!

Keeping everything crossed for you

Thanx babyblonde...

tbh i'm just reading loads of bad reviews about the tests now but none of them relate to what i'm saying.

Yesterday I tested in the afternoon sometime and it gave 2-3 and today I tested with fmu (think it was fmu, im not sure if i got up in the night and went unless I dreamt it) but it gave 1-2. Going tell dr tomorrow about my dodgey happenings, see if I get a blood test. I know I must be 4-5 weeks gone now...I wanna know if hcg levels is normal for this stage!

The test says not to test on consequitive (sp?) days, does that mean like what I have done, tested 1 day then the day after? I didnd't read that until after though.

'Consecutive days' means the two days following eachother hun - so if you tested yesterday and today that is exactly what it tells you not to (I'm the same, I always read these things afterwards  ).

That may be your problem then!

Maybe lol, it's just worrying to see it there on screen that I may be a few weeks behind what it was telling me yesterday and if i'm sure ive got to be 4-5 weeks then it's just making me wonder weather my levels are dropping or something...I dunno I can't help it, i'm just a natural worrier...You wont believe how many times I go to the loo (not even to do anything!) just to wipe to check for blood (tmi i'm sorry) but thats how I was for nearly 10 months with Aaliyah too : It's so nice to see that BFP but after that it's so stressful...If everything IS ok...then I hope I can start to enjoy it soon

Erm I would believe you because that's what I was like

It didn't work out for me but I'm sure you'll be fine hun

Tell the doctor about your worries as perhaps then they will do a bloodtest for you to check exactly where your levels are up to - I'd ask for one for peace of mind if I were you xxxx

Ask....I will demand!

I wont be the first demented pregnant worried woman lol! They should know better to offer them at every visit by now LOL!

Hope all is ok hun. I dont like those new digi's, I think they can make people worry when there's no need too :(

I agree - normal HCG levels have a huge range - levels between 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml are considered normal at 5 weeks past LMP - so how on earth can they claim to be accurate?

I hope you get on OK at the GP and they can put your mind at rest

 Oh hun im sure everything is fine, I dont like those digis either, they tell you based on how much is in your urine at that time, its not that acurate.

 Hope docs go well

Hope your okay? Hope everything goes okay for you at the doctors.

Im 9weeks 1day and i was wanting to try the new cler blue tests just to see what it says (weird i know - lol) but i dont think i will now. :(

The new digis are an absolute con. And that's my considered opinion after having bought six of the buggers - oh yes, I fell right into the marketing trap

We all know that HCG levels should increase, and should roughly double every 48-72 hours until it gets to around 1200, when the rate of doubling slows, and slows again at 6000. But that's when tested in serum format, i.e. in beta blood tests. NOT in your urine - all sorts of factors influence that, like the time since you last went to the loo, how much you've been drinking, what you've been eating and how it's affected your digestive system/blood, etc.

The digi works by having a cut-off level. Goodness knows how they decided the cut-off point. Most charts use the following 'normal ranges':

4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml (all of these are based on levels of HCG in the BLOOD, not urine)

I've taken these 3 weeks because they would be the 1-2 weeks, 2-3 weeks and 3+ weeks indicated on the digis. But look at the difference in a normal range! Someone with a level of 7000 might be 5 weeks pg, someone with a level of 1200 could be 6 weeks pg - and both be perfectly normal. People will slow down at different points too. I got so worried because it took exactly one week to move from 1-2 to 2-3 weeks - but then after 9 days it still hadn't changed to 3+ weeks (I stopped testing at that point - but FYI, I had a beta blood test done which showed I was >10,000 by 6w5, so was perfectly normal).

Anyway, if ClearBlue in their wisdom have decided that the cut-off between 1-2 weeks and 2-3 weeks is 250mIU (for example - I have no idea what it actually is) you could be 255 one day and, having drunk more water, 245 the next. But actually, the levels in your blood - which are far more accurate - would have gone up.

I think these tests are a marketing con. The makers know that women will want to keep testing to check the levels have gone up - like I did - and yet they're meaningless tests, and bloody expensive. I spent over £30 on worrying myself. Don't do it, you're pregnant, so make an appt with your GP and leave the tests alone!

When I did mine twice I expected it to say 2-3 but they both said 1-2 and I was gutted but so far everything sems to be going well.

I think in the space of less than a full 24hour day and considering they are what 60% accurate at best? then I would forget youve done them - I dont like them and they arent reasuring, I would ban them probably.

Wow kittykins....that told me! lol thank you so much.

Thank you everyone...it was really doing my head in and I feel much better for reading all of your replies, I dunno what id do without PF! ...Probably crack up!

TBH I feel sick as a dog, my boobs hurt and I can smell you all from here LOL....joking (obviously lol) but they are all nice promising signs  :D

I posted about my experience of them new clearblue digis when they first came out! They aren't reliable and really caused great worry for me.

I tested on one (it was from a double pack) and BFP and it said 1-2 weeks (3-4 weeks pregnant) however I was over 4 weeks I thought, so I left it about 3 days and tested again expecting to see 2-3, but it still said 1-2! So I went out and bought ANOTHER double pack to test again in a few days time. It did eventualy go up to 2-3 weeks but it took alot longer than it should have done. I even rang clearblue and all the lady said was they are xx% (a realy high number - cant remember) and they are not! When I had my scans MY dates were correct.

I know its hard but try not to worry to much about it, they arent reliable and it looks like most people on here have bad things to say about them as well x

I posted about these tests last week I think. I tested and the test come up as 3weeks + but then tested the next day and it come out as 2-3weeks. Really worried me at first but I think that on the second day I had drunk more water so that is the reason for the different result. i don't like these tests I think they are inaccurate and if I ever need a pregnancy test again i won't be buying them again. Please don't worry hun I'm sure everything is fine

I'm so glad these tests weren't around when I found out I was pregnant, I kept testing as I was bleeding and spent loads on tests and examined every line and compared lines each day for how dark they were  .
