Hey,

I am 5 weeks, 4 days pregnant and had to have a scan today as thought something was up!! Everything luckily was fine and I saw my baby in a small sac in my womb which was amazing!! wohoo

Anyway I have a weird question.. I know they calculate your due date by your last period but I am trying to work out when I conceived.If anyone can help me out it would be very much appreciated!

I have heard that you can only really get pregnant during ovulation.. well Me and my BF only had UPS around the 20th of nov and the 20th of dec (weird hey) I had my last period on the 6th of december and am now 5 weeks 3 days pregnant. When I saw the nurse today and had a scan she said I was definitely 5 weeks gone but thats doesnt make sense.. Can anyone tell me if I can have a period whilst being pregnant because I am really confused!! Do u think it was possible for me to conceive in november and still have a full on period or is it more likely to be december when I conceived??

Just looking at your dates there the 20th dec would've been 14 days since your last period, which on an average 28 day cycle is when ovulation would be expected to happen. so within that 24 hours is when you'd have conceived.

I might have got your query wrong but from the moment you conceive they count you as 2 weeks pregnant, so if it was 20th December you will be counted from there + 2 weeks. So if 20th December was 3 weeks ago, you will be classed as 5 weeks pregnant.

That makes a lot of sense. I think I was confused as the doctor didnt know when we concieved and just said it was counted from the first day of my past period. It weird to think we only concieved 3 weeks 5 days ago but yet I am 5 weeks 5 days gone!!!

Aww thanks! Yes it is confusing as you are already 2 weeks pregnant when you hadn't even conceived! But at least it puts you forward a bit more! xx

Thats so sweet, i remember that feeling soooo well..... Reggie is only just under 6 months and I already wanna do it again!! Dont listen to the horror stories people tell you, pregnancy and labour are amazing experiences and you will enjoy it all

If I am honest with you I am really looking forward to the whole thing. I mean morning sickness wont be great but at least I will know that I am having a healthy pregnancy!! Did you suffer badly?

Yes definitely! We both love suprises but I dont think I could wait.. we already have names ready which we have had for over 2 years so think they will stick!!

I only had slight sickness but I completely agree with you, I loved getting it as it was all part of the experience which I was so happy about! Its was a nice reminder I was pregnant! The time goes so fast and I really miss being pregnant already, cant wait to do it again (hopefully this year!!)

I would love to have a suprise too but I am also waaaay too impatient to not find out!

when i found out i was pregnant my last period was August! although i didnt conceive till i was a week late for my period! if that makes sense lol

i was 4 weeks late for my period but was 3 weeks pregnant when i got my BFP lol

babies are strange lol think they just fertilise when they want lol
