neighbours playing music at excessive volumes

Whenever it f'in suits them they control wether i can rest or watch tv or have a peaceful friggin day and i have had enough, we have been over and spoken to them and even sent them a letter much to no co-operation!

I will contact their letting agency, where else can i take this? thanks

Contact your council. They have an asbo section, in fact I think KX is a officer that deals with this kind of thing.

Our council have said that noise can be reported day and night and they will come out and moniter it and take appropriate action.

That sucks.

does my f*cking head in!!! im now im a foul bloody mood cause im not feeling great and managed to get to sleep which is really hard for me in the day and 15 mins later i get woken up by the *******s!!!!!!

she screams at her kids from 7 in morning as they dare to wake her up they are aged 2, 3, 4, 6 she does nothing but swear at them and all i hera all day is her rubbish music her screaming and swearing and her kids crying and screaming grrrrrr am def going to report her xxx

sorry lol...Alan just called and i ended up in tears thats house angry i am at the moment. I have just typed out a not so nice letter. I have been nice about it for 10 months now.

I went downstairs and banged on the wall repeatadly! This is going to drive me to my wits end, i am not the sort of person that can tolerate it! my brother used to do it at home with his music and id go mental it would be at like 7am when i was asleep!!! id throw things at the wall and scream at him...I hate hearing other peoples music through my walls! if you want to play your music loud then move to a detached house!!!!!!!!!!! These are terraced houses with very thin walls!!!! and the guy even mentioned how thin the walls are before so there is no fin excuse!!!!!

Poor you. Can fully understand how you feel, its soooooooooo annoying.
When we moved from our last place I was so glad to get away from our downstairs neighbours music but now we have to put up with my next door neighbour shouting f'ing this & f'ing that at her 14 year old daughter. Its appalling

hey i had problems with my (below me!!!!!) neighbours music, they used 2 play the thumpy thump sort, so i phoned n put in a complaint with the asbo people, n they said if it happens again dont hesitate 2 call the police!!! cos the police can confiscate their stereo, sure enuff the nxt nite the music went on n i phoned the police, no heard anythin since, well cept rumours goin round bout a certain confiscated stereo

i would log all the noise down in a diary. times and dates etc. Could you video the noise (that sound silly but you know what i mean). Then go armed with the evidence to the council .If they don't do anything go to your local paper.

our neighbours are really bad, they sit in the back garden till all hours, talking loud and playing polish music really loudly!!
Really annoys me, esp when i'm trying to have a nice relaxing bath (our bathroom is at the back!) and they don't speak english so when i've knocked on the door and asked them to quieten down cos its late (1am) and they look at me as if i'm foreign!!!

We have had probs with an ignorant bloke around here.............we have had the council down to monitor the sound and a diary had to be kept......this blokes letting agency has since given him notice to get out!! The sooner the better, he intimidates woman, but wouldnt say boo to men and he F's and blinds all day, he has a sofa in his back garden and throws and smashes alsorts out there, he is quite un-nervy to live near!

we have the same problem.. who do we complain to about someone having a party every bloody nite in the garden? they keep inviting this woman with the most awful laugh - more of a witchy scream... they play the sh*ttiest music over and over again... she keeps laughing loud.. i want to knock her head off... it usually dies off around 3 or 4 in the morning...

god by the sounds of it you guys have a harder time than me!!

thing is the guy isnt rude and if u go over and ask him to keep it down he turns it down, but whats bugging me is that he still continues to play it loud, at other times and we shouldnt have to be knocking on his door all the time he should just keep it down in the first place! but now my friend has let out his house to 2 young guys and its just across the courtyard (everything echoes around this courtyard) and he is going to be a problem aswell i think. But since its my friends house and my other friend has a spare set of keys for it we might go take his stereo, naa just joking, il get my mate to write him a letter if he dosnt calm it, im sure it was him sharing black eyed peas with the whole courtyard at 8:15am this morning!! to say the least, i wasnt impressed !

The person that lives at the back of us has just bought a cockeral! Why would you want a bloody cockeral, we don't live on a farm!!!!!

It starts crowing at 4.50am every morning and goes on all day. I can hear it above the radio. I complained to the council and they asked me to keep a diary. How can I keep a diary of this??

4.50am - woken by crowing
4.50am and 7 seconds - crowing
4.50am and 15 seconds - crowing
4.50am and 22 seconds - crowing......

If theyre letting via an agency then the tenancy agreement will probably dictate that no loud music is to be played between certain times. They also usually say things about causing nuisance to neighbours so the agency will do something about it. If not contact the council and keep a record. Drives me batty!

I had neighbours like that once who would scream and fight from 6am when he came home from nights, my dog would go beserk as she could hear the fight. Once I found a track called "Shut the F*** up!" so I turned the speakers to the wall and played it to them, they got the message
