Need of cheering up... stressful week :-(

Where do I begin... my hormone levels are not doubling (after 4 in total tests this week) although they're going up so I am staying positive, I have something that looks like an abnormal cyst, possibly a coexisting ectopic pregnancy.

The hospital have brought my scan forward from this wed to tomorrow without explanation which worries me.

I was advised that because of all this ppl around me need to know that I am pregnant. SO... I told my new boss.

I am a primary school teacher and had a contract till at least december with the poss of being renewed for another couple of months.

HOWEVER... even though we live in the year of 2009 I was politely informed the governors will have a big problem with it because I am pregnant and unmarried in a catholic school.... its not the right impression for the children.... i felt like i was about to be burned at the stakes. My gorgeous OH even offered to marry me politely saying he loved me very much and intended doing so in the future anyways.

But a baby is not a reason to get married...

what a week....

Plus I have felt my first bouts of morning sickness today.

Quick update for anyone that is bothered...

i got the all clear... cyst has gone and everything is fine. we're only 6 weeks now but im relieved!

so tired at the moment so getting lots of sleep but actually can now

How annoying about the school though! I am catholic and my children attend a catholic school, half the kids that attend come from unmarried parents!!! what a stupid thing to say to you!!! Its not as if your moon lighting as a prostitute and have got pregnant you are in a relationship!!!! crazy!!!

theyre catholic so yes

it is ssooooo archaic though isnt it? im a catholic myself. if i mentioned the 'a' word to them (not that i would) theyd still have me down as the worst ever so i cannot win!

As for the school, well I wouldn't tihnk they would be allowed to treat you like that - is there anyone you could contact about like a union or something?

Sorry to hear all nightmares - a relief that all's well with bubs.
Not being funny but the Catholic method is no contraception isn't it?? So how do you control it not happening before marriage (although should it be none before marriage??) Maybe you should play innocent to the school and say you would like to married but can't afford it at the mo. What can they say? (grrrrrr!)
