I've had latching issues and soreness issues from day 1 with my right breast. I just can't get it right, despite the HV and MW both saying she's got a very good latch, I know it's not!

It's toe curling when I feed her on my right, and today it actually feels bruised. What a pain! Left is fine, but no matter how many different positions or whatever I try, the right just doesn't want to co operate. Lol. I think today I'm going to have to express off it and feed her from a bottle (I've had to do this twice before now)

Does anyone else have the same problem? I'm slapping on the lansinoh but they aren't necessarily sore or cracked, it's just like when she's sucking it's a bruised feeling.

I have exactly the same problem i dread feeding Maisie from my right as it feels really bruised and sore. Her latch apparently is really good so i'll be watching this thread with interest xx

Not sure what to suggest if you've tried different positions. Maybe express off it for today to give your right side a rest and see if that makes it feel any better.

aaawww hun, it's a nightmare huh? I have exactly the same problem too. The pain can be pretty immense and funnily enough - it's with my right breast too! I would try the expressing for today and see how you are tomorrow etc. Unfortunately Layla doesn't give me enough time to express at the moment as she is on another growth spurt so I am kinda putting up with it at the moment! Good luck :) xx

I'm just about to express. I'm actually wondering if I've got mastitis? I feel feverish and my boob hurts. Who knows. X

this happened tome but it was my left!!! keep at it and try massaging your boob and always offer her that one first.. i didnt and kept offering lo my right as it was easier but then i got a huge blockage and infected cist! (not nice) which is why i eneded up stopping bf!!!

Oh ok, I'll keep on the case. I'm expressing for a while until I feel comfortable enough to feed from it, it's really painful! I don't feel well with it either, I'm gonna go doctors on Monday if I still feel crappy. X
