My Poem

Hi Ladies, so sorry for your losses. I suffered a missed miscarriage earlier this week. I've tried to sum up how I'm feeling in a poem. Here goes..


I Wanted

I wanted you so badly
But it wasn't meant to be
A little blob of magic
Hidden deep inside of me

I wanted you to grow
To fill my tummy out
But you were taken from me
I didn't hear you shout

I wanted you next to me
Your tiny hand in mine
I wondered what you'd be like
How brightly you would shine

I wanted them to be wrong
About your little heart
Why did it stop beating
Why did we have to part?

I want to know you're ok
And that your soul can rest
I'll crave your sweet smell every day
And want you at my breast

So please sleep well, sweet angel
And know that you were mine
I never will forget you
Forever I will pine.
