My period isnt my period!

Ok so thruout entire life and all the cycles ive had, im 29, my period has always been heavy day 1 and normally heavy thru out till final day when light, fill pad etc easy bla bla...
I have been ttc for 5 months , yesterday when doing daily cervix check i found brown discharge. Like dark brown. Today, its more promenant on tissue when wipe but doesnt seem to go in the loo etc.. (before it would be bright red and a lot!) Today its more dark brown with bits of red/pink and mediumish level pos low. None on pad at all (been on all day)
Basically, any idea whats going on? Fertility Friend never detected ovulation but to me there wos a sort of temp increase and i did have 2 positive opks prior..

This happened to me last month. My period is normally like floodgates right from the very first sign of it, heavy for 3 days then light for a couple more. Last month though, I had a day of brown spotting, which is totally out of character for my period, so it got my hopes up. AF hit me like a truck the next day though, so it goes to show that no matter how well we know our bodies, it can always surprise you sometimes.

That's not to say it isn't IB though, so fingers crossed for you!
