My first scan!

Hi all, had my first scan this morning and I have been terrifired. Was convinced nothing was going to be there so was nervous about going. Thankfully everything is progressing well. Unfortunately I had a grumpy midwife - she was more like a sergeant major and I was terrified of her! She didn't really explain much and I was given a scan piccy that looks nothing like a baby its more like a wasp!!!!
Not a happy bunny but was told that the heartbeat looked strong and nothing abnormal could be detected so am grateful for that. A t least I can relax a bit now and know there is definately something inside me... so here's my piccy but no laughing please...xx

RakRak? Wasp? You did make me giggle with your description, your photo is lovely, the baby is face on so you can make out the facial features and the skull - amazing! Some midwives should be farmers!

congratulations! It's a shame some sonographers out there seem to make it their mission in life to ruin the most important moments for expectant mums...just because they see it every day they should remember that to the mum-to-be it's a life changing moment!

Glad everything's progressing nicely, it really is hard not to worry until you see that little heart beating isn't it!
