Thanks for replying, they are so cute. Are they at all like terry nappies? I've been thinking about getting the cloth ones but am worried that they are like the old terry ones where they are the same size for newborn to a two year old and also cause nappy rash because of no gel or whatever that stuff is called. (sorry been 7 years, can't remember, lol)

awww bless the top one is my fav and the strippy one

Awww gorgeous! Where do you get the fancy wraps from?? I use little lambs and would like som snazzy wraps!!

He is a cutie pie Cas :D

thanks for the comments:)

i got my wraps from kittykins, john lewis (mio bambino), weenotions, minki....

they arnt like old terrys claire they fasten up just like disposables (with velcro..and they are shaped the same...they are quite good for bums cause they have nothing else in them just natrual..wheras disposables have the little balls etc in them to help absorbing....

the yellow one is a nappy not a wrap for an idea...the yellow one is under all of the wraps in the pic...but i usually use little lambs they are white..i love cloth nappies ! :D but when i go on holiday il probably take disposables because i will have a load of extra luggage unless there is washing facilities where we stay :)

Sorry for more questions, slap me if you want, lol.

Do they draw the wet away from the skin like disposables? I want to get them but that worries me that say at night when they aren't changed so often that they have the wet against their skin longer.

*apologies for hijacking Jakob's cute photie thread*

Nappy rash is caused by the reaction of poo with wee and provided you change a nappy regularly it doesn't matter if it's cloth or disposable as far as rash is concerned.

The cloth does stay wet but apparently cloth nappy wearing babies tend to potty train earlier because they can feel the difference between wet and dry. :D

Motherease do make Staydry cloth nappies but they're the only ones I think.

Hope that helps, check out this thread for more info

Thanks, I'll find out the prices and if they aren't over the top buy those.

There is a company where they take away the dirty and bring clean ones, still not been able to find out who they are though.

theyre hilarious..he is so sweet in them..especially the hippy coloured one and the duck one..

thanks.

yes claire if you search yahoo there is a site cant remember what it is and they tell you all the places you can find nappy cleaning services...when you use that you only need to buy wraps they bring nappies then a week later they pick them up to clean and give you new ones....its between £6 and £10 a week.

The only thing with nappy laundering services is that most use pre-fold (the flat type) nappies only so you don't to use a lot of the funky shaped ones.

Plus the cost is the same as disposables, which cancels out one of the main reasons for choosing cloth (the money! :D )

Finally, although all nappies are cleaned to NHS standard (boil washed) you don't get 'your' nappies back, they're different every time. That wouldn't bother me, but I know some people wouldn't like it.

Stanley is full-time cloth and I do one extra wash every other day. With all the washing you do with a baby anyway, you honestly don't even notice it :D
