Hey ladies thought i'd post in here as hoping someone will know.

I basically on the hunt for a monitor that has two child units linked to one parent unit.

We have a one year old and I'm now pregnant again so once baby is born we will have 2 children under 2.

Because of the logistics of our house (it's 3 floors) we will need a monitor for both children. Thomas is on the top floor and our bedroom is on the Middle floor. and although new baby will be with us to start, when we are downstairs in the evening we will still need a monitor for that short space of time.

Anyone know if such a thing exists in just audio form? I have seen two on Amazon but they are stupidly expensive (£200-£300) and I was hoping for something a little less expensive that would mean we didn't have the confusion of two parent units

I remember when we were looking for a video monitor, there were cameras you could buy that just linked up with your iPhone, ipad etc. So you only needed to buy the camera. I'd of thought in theory you'd be able to have more than one of them hooKed up to your phone? Don't know if something like that would interest you?

I'm not that keen on using monitors over wifi after some of the things I heard and seen about them recently (being hacked and not secure). I haven't really looked into them though so might be worth a look

We have the bt video monitor 1000 and you can have 1 parent unit and add up to 4 cameras to it. We have had it since Olly was little and its great - the picture is very clear and the screen is big. You can even see him breathing.

We paid £80 for the 1 set - then you will need to buy an extra camera

xx

Iv just looked and you can buy the extra camera for £54 on the bt website. you could probably get it cheaper if you shop about

Brilliant thanks for that. It's one of the things we didn't consider when we bought our monitor (did for the pram but not for this!! So stupid)

That sounds perfect for what we need

I don't want video monitors but am in same situation!

Think I may just buy another monitor and have 2 on 2 different frequencies

That way when Oscar or whatever goes to grandmas to stay etc we can take the monitor with his stuff and still have one at home for baby etc

Yeah I'm not really wanting a video one Bex but I can't find any audio ones. It's really annoying me that they don't seem to exist!

One of the angel care ones does this, il try and find it

Hmmm I'll have a look! Staff discount on very too!

Edit - pooh just seen your update jo

I can't work out if that one I linked is only if they're in the same room!? There's a helpline on that new link and it does say there's a combination of if u have a newborn and an older baby but it doesn't seem to be very clear!
