still no scan date, i seen the midwife yesterday and she said there really busy. I'm 13 week tomorrow and dont think this is very fair, Am contemplating wheither i should go for a private scan?

Im really sorry to hear you havent had your scan, in my last pregnancy i was 14 weeks when i had my first scan and i was really peeded off! When i was 10 weeks gone i recieved an envelope from the hospital in my name with a scan date on it, only to find that the sticker on the paper wasnt addressed to me but another lady, with all her medical and contact details. I rang the lady immediatly and sent her the stuff through the post, she was really mad as was i. I rang the hospital wondering if somebody i didnt know would have my details too I would ring the hospital say you going on holiday so you need a scan date asap. Luckily i got mine at 6 weeks this time, but my notes probably say raging lady across them

Thats ridiculous, you shouldn't have to pay for a private scan just because they are busy! By the time they get an appointment made you'll be over 14 weeks at least, I would write a letter or something because its not fair on you at all. One good thing about having a later scan is that you will maybe catch them sucking their thumbs or something like that which you probably wouldnt see at 12 weeks!
