Hi, i registered at my new docs the other day and they told me to call today and make a midwife appointment and dr appointment. The midwife has no appointments until the 9th March... but I'll be over 15 weeks, supposed to be having at scan at 16 (they won't refer me to hosp in time?) Cos the bleed on my uterus needs checking to make sure it's not for bigger/has gone. I'm being consultant lead and supposed to see a consultant as well. Also I haven't had my blood checked for downs, which is supposed to be next week... any help will be great, thanks! X

I won't be much help but how far are you moving? I live 20 minutes between two hospitals. I have been to appointments at both and I'm trying to choose which one I want to deliver in. My midwaife said it's easy to swap and just to go to the nearest one on the day x

I changed hospitals with both my previous pregnancies. Each time I stayed with the original one until important upcoming things had been done (eg 20 week scan) and then moved to the new one x

Ring the new hospital and discuss with them direct as they will make sure to squeeze you in. Failing that, tell your previous hospital you're saving difficulties and can they help

I've moved about an hour away, but i don't drive. I have all my appointments still with my old hosp, so it's best just to go to those? My hubby can take me to main ones, I'll just have to cancel the others. Difficult lol x

I moved an hour away in my second pregnancy when I was 6 months. But I needed a 28 week midwife appt and a 33 week scan to check kidneys. The move was very close to Christmas so my midwife appt ended up being at 29 weeks and then they sent me to see a consultant at 30 weeks and the consultant said she wanted me scanned at 31 weeks and I was booked in straight away, so you might find a new hospital is very efficient. I've basically moved from the city out to the countryside and have found the hospital much better for getting appointments and checking up on you if there is even a hint that something could be wrong x
