Mouth Abcsess and what can I take?

I am currently on Panadol and have to take amoxicillian but the pain is soooo bad! I can't keep going to A&E to have them put a numbing anticept. on it, salt water only lasts 15 mins and mouth wash the same.

My bosses wife told me to swirl zivarnia in my mout (stronger form of ouzo), says it will numbt he pain, can I use alcohol or is this a bad thing?

I don't know but would either bongela or sucking on ice cubes help? I'm not sure about swirling alcohol as it is possible you could swallow some especially if you are doing it often and as it is so strong it could harm your baby.

Been back to the dentist and what a story!

I went the end of last year for a filling and the private dentist I went to, didn't clean the decay fully from the tooth and then placed the filling on top. So now, the decay had reached my nerve, causing more pain on top of the tooth below, with the abcsess. The dentist took the filling out, cleaned everything up, placed a special medication in to heal the nerve (I think it was for that) and place a temp filling on top. I have to go back in 3 weeks to have a proper filling placed.

I tried the Alcohol once and never again, it was horrid I just worry that with all this pain, anit-biotics. panadol and stress, it will affect junior! I have my 5 month scan next week, I hope everything will be ok?

This is one i know about.

My abcess is a mare.

Run the hot tap in the bathroom for about a minute till it is really hot, then get a towel and soak about quater of the toewl in it. Fold the dry part of the towel over the wet (only by one layer). Then press it against the side of your cheek where the absis is. I find lying on the sofa helps most as i can press the towel more. This works every time for me and everyone i know who has had an absis. Or cold water (same method ) works if you can handle cold.

Have you tried clove oil?

Cold ice was the only thing that worked for me, sucked it until I could get to the dentist. I had the same thing - a filling put on top of a tooth that hadn't been drilled correctly. I usually hate dentists - but the day they put that injection in to numb the tooth - I could have kissed him.
