I went shopping today in Glasgow city centre with my sister and her 3 month old little girl Daisie,

We were crossing the road at the green man and we heard a car come round the corner really really fast so we rushed to the pavement but the man behind us who must have been in his mid 40s was flung up in the air by the car.

It was the most awful sound I have ever heard, he went right over the bonnet and fell to the ground with a really bad fall. Blood everywhere, such a bad head injury. And the worst thing was the car just drove away it never even slowed down.

I cant stop thinking about it, it has really shoke me up as I feel so lucky that me and sis got on the pavement on time, but I feel so heart sorry for the poor man who wasnt so lucky.

sorry for the sad story but i cant get it out of my mind. x x

Will add a happier story when I feel better tomorrow, x

OMG thats terrible i hope the man is ok and they catch the driver. That must of been horrible to witness.

The man was still concious when we left the scene, so fingers crossed. It was a small silver van, i was just in so much shock that the car could leave, some people have no care, but the policeman said that there was cameras pointing at the road and would have seen the van, so hopefully they will get the pig.

Poor you and poor guy! I saw a similar accident a few years ago, it really does shake you up. I was a trained first aider, but I couldn't go near the girl because I was so shocked My dad had to do it. (Luckily he is first aid trained too.)

That is terrible!! Hit and run drivers are scum..I'm glad all three of you are okay, and hope hey get the driver and lock him up for a long time :x

Sarafet it was on Argyle street, the crossing just between next and ortac, he looked like he had just nipped out from work for his lunch, poor man,

That is horrible!

I cannot believe that car didn't stop

Did you find out if the man was OK?!

Hugs to you though - what a horrible thing to witness and I bet you're so glad you weren't in that situation with your family

OMG...what an awful thing to have seen.
HOPE they catch the driver and that the man is ok.
Not surprised you're feeling shaky after that.

thats awful!!! Glad youre ok though....but that poor man :(

Youve got to be so bloomin careful these days....One of the last times Beth was in her pushchair i was waiting to cross the road. It went red, green man came and started beeping and this stupid cow just went straight through it :x If id been pushing beth into the road she wouldve run the pushchair straight over. Silly cow didnt even looklike she knew what she'd done :x

Wow, sounds like someone was looking after you today, glad your OK but horrible to witness
