Thats a great link Dione thanks, alot of them do look normal thats the worst part, i wish they had all listed peodophiles (sp) instead of just the ones on the run. I remeber seeing an old guy at a christening ceremony once and when i was younger he was renowned for showing an unhealthy interest in young kids, bad part was he was sitting outside the creche facility there, my blood boiled XkelX

Exactly, its our s**t stupid laws, my best friend was brutally murdered this year, her family asked for her name not to be printed because they have a 7 year old daughter, the next day there was her name on the front page and on the news, yet because the little bas***d who killed her was only 16, he has to be treated as a minor and HIS name can't be printed, personally i couldn't give a crap, i've gave as many people i know as many details as i have of him, his full name, age, even the road i think his family live on. He may have only been 16 but at the and of the day he knew how to cave someones head in until she was left as a vegitable He shouldn't be treated as a minor

I feel exactly the saem, it seems as if all these evil, murderers rapists, peadophiles get to live their lives quite happily, with protection from police etc, when they are released from jail, new identitites. They don't deserve a fucking life.

did any one watch that programme about a news reporter that followed and reported apeado for hanging about with kids and the police said they were investigating it and the next day he was still hanging around with the kids so the guy called 999 again and nothing was done. when he was arrestedhe had pics of the little kids cuddleing and in weird poses and stuff!! i think he got about 2 years.

Also whats with the justice system, someone can do an armed robbery, but not actually harm anyone physically (yes i know its wrong and it must scar the mind) but they can get 10 years, yet we've been told this 16 yr old will probably get 6 years at the most!!!!!! Hes done 6 months of that and it probabkly won't go to trial for another few months as he keeps changing his plea.

Wheres the justice in that??????

I watched that, it was shocking

Personally I think they should all be left on a self sufficient island in the middle of nowhere. Somewhere cold and desolate where they can do what the hell they like to each other
I don't think any length of time is a deterrent. I don't abuse children because I don't want to. Not because any law tells me not too. All we can do it 'teach' and trust someone not to act upon that sexual urge. Which personally I don't think can happen.

Exactly Claire, plus if he behaves well in prison, he'll no doubt be let out even earlier on good behaviour. Same as people who get banged up for driving offences, etc fair enuogh it;s stupid, but then they let paedophiles, rapists, murderers off with community service, etc.

There really is no justcie anymore, disgusting is the word i'm looking for.
