my milk has come back in!

it dried up last week, havent had to wear any breast pads or sleep with a bra on, its been great.

but last night, (as i was having a crying moment) i started leaking again, i had to use breast pads coz it was alot.

has this happend to anyone else?

i thought once your milk was gone that was it?

I have read that it can be months before you dry up completely Layla. If you were having a crying moment *HUG* it may be your hormones letting down for you , especially if the moment was about Coby...

yeah i was wondering if it was linked to me crying.

my nipples went all tingley and then i started to leak.

still feel shit today, Coby woke at 3.30am for a feed and didnt go back to sleep, he was wide awake untill 7am so i havnet had much sleep, my body is aching like mad

Yes, that could be it, Coby crying would make you let down, particularly if you were upset.

My doctor advised me to go cold turkey when I dry up because the pills have a lot of nasty side effects and risks of cancer and strokes! I know my Mom took breast pills and she had breast cancer years later. It really makes you think.

But anyway, the way I was to go cold turkey was to go away on my own for a few days and leave OH caring for baby. That way I don't see her, hold her, hear her crying etc and I will dry up more quickly, according to doctor.

Strange or what?

its come in even more now, more so on the left side than the right.

im not sure what to do now, coby is doing fine on the bottle and there is no way i want him feeding off me again, but i cant help but think my milk has come back for a reason.

im thinking of maybe expressing what i can and giving it to him as an extra, but then i dont want to hurt like i did last time.

im really not sure what to do, any ideas?? what would you lot do?

xx

I would just leave it to dry up again, Layla...

By expressing you are saying...I want to keep breastfeeding and your pineal gland will release more milk making hormone. You could also confuse Cobv a little.

That and your hormones and cycle etc might get all screwed up too...
