Mei Tai help

We currently have a ring sling which DD loves (falls asleep everytime she is in it ) I've been thinking about investing in a mei tai but what I really want to know is can you have your LO facing forward or can you only have them facing towards you or on your back. She's a very nosy baby (can't think where she gets it ) so would probably prefer to face towards the world instead of staring at boring old mummy.

not really but the way they sit in it means they can have a good look around, plus in a back carry they are facing forward and can see alot. I used to do a front carry in a wrap but read that its not too good as they can get inundated with stimulation and can't shut it out, whereas if they are in a front carry facing you they can look around but can also turn to you if it gets too much. Not sure how true this is though lol.
