There has been lots of discussion in other posts about mayonnaise. As far as i was aware, mayo is fine as long as its pasturised? I can understand why eating products with raw egg in may be harmful because of the salmonella risk but surely this doesnt mean we need to avoid all mayo altother? As i said i have been having pasturised (shop brought) mayonnaise since the start of my pregnancy as it wasnt one of the things on the not to eat list.

I checked this out and was told my MW that shop bought mayonnaise like hellmans is perfectly OK. i had to check with the sandwich shop at work and they use one that she said was OK. She said it's just freshly made and homemade ones that I should avoid so i think you are OK

Strangely for the first 12 weeks the smell and sight of any mayo made me feel sick but I seem to be over that now.....
