At the risk of coming across as a real foodie/pig.... I just asked about prawns..

now this one... mayo ?

I know you can have mayonnaise from a jar (like Hellmans etc) as this isn't fresh and isn't made with raw eggs or something....

But what about pre-pack sandwiches with mayo fillings ? So a M&S chicken and mayo sandwich for instance - allowed to have that mayo or not ??? It won't specify hellmans mayo on the label presumably ??

Absolutely fine. I eat mayo and have mayo on everything I eat! I don't even think twice, mayo is the best!!!
I always ask for extra mayo in my chicken legend from maccies and I always get pre packed sarnie a with extra mayo!

All commercially made food will be safe to eat mayo- the risk of un treated 'home made' is too great so they just don't do it :)

I didn't know I could have Hellmans! I used to have mayo everyday but have been avoiding it since I found out I was pregnant, I thought I couldn't have mayo at all!
