maternity dress for posh evening event

hello..sorry im gatecrashing 2nd tri again...

i have a formal do when i will be 22 weeks.....i'm not expecting to be too big by then as im an athlete and going by what my athlete colleagues have experienced, chances are i wont really show til 5 months at least..but i want to wear something classy that will show off the bump , however little it still is by then!!

The other thing to bear in mind is that im not very tall (5'1) so lots of dresses just look stupid on me. So any advice on a special dress for a short-arse with a little bump would be much welcomed!! (preferably one that shows off my new relatively massive bazzoka's hhaha)

isabella oliver have some really gorgeous dresses which dont look at all 'maternity' and and come in nice colours (with plunging neck lines ! ), quite expensive though....

ive looked at them..i keep bidding on the empire wrap dress on ebay but havent won it yet....but do you that be too generously cut ? someone on ebay said they were wearing it at 30 weeks....

oh my god they come up big!! the wrap around tops i can get away with wearing now in size 1 but the rest of isabella oliver stuff is miles too big for me and i've already gained 1 and a half to two stone!! i think it will be fine around 30weeks. Just buy a smaller size. I'm normally an 8 and find size 1 big x x

Crave Maternity have some lovely dresses. I got the one that Charlotte Church had - hers was white with jewels under the bust line. I got it in black. Its gorgeous and very flattering.

www.picchumaternity.com is also really good. I got the red shift dress and the one shoulder black dress but there is all sorts on there.

they didnt have the aqua one left in my size. I was gutted.

We are a bit skint after the wedding and honeymoon so are trying not to go out much but now I have a new dress my DH is obliged to!!!
