just a quick one to let you all know that if you are entitled to the 6 months off then from April 2007 maternity leave will be going up to 9 months, not too sure on if your baby has to be born after this date or if you have to be pregnant by this date, should know more in about 4 weeks time so will keep you all posted

I'm only TTC but I'm curious what is MAT pay is it only a % of your wages?

its usually either 100% basic or 90% average earnings, whichever is the higher

your average earnings is worked out on the 2 months before your 15th week before your due date, bonus & overtime are included

Found out today that if your baby is born in April 2007 or after then you will get 9 months paid mat leave not too sure on how much you will get but at least you will get an extra 3 months off
