Married in Cyprus.............

well I was just wondering if you did (or in sarahs case knew people who did) did you use a wedding planner, book it through travel agent (which Im deffo not doing ) or book everything indavidually yourselves or what?

Did they have it like a UK wedding but in Cyprus? - Again what Im trying to aim for as I wanted to get married her but OH refused as said his family would cause trouble with each other, fight and ruin it, hence were going away and certain people are not invited, but as I wanted a UK wedding im going to try and keep it as similar as I can to a degree

Grrrr I dont know where to start. Emailed a few wedding planners one has come back, the other Im just waiting on but even things like doing my own hair and make up to cut down on cost I just dont know weather to etc

I married in Paralimni in 2001.

It was just the three of us. Me, hubby and Maisy who was just 11 months at the time. It was wonderful.

And it was the best thing we did getting married abroad.

We booked it thru Thomas cook and cost just under £2000 for the 2 week holiday/flights accommodation inclusive of the wedding and wedding planner. You can also book it independantly on their website as opposed to booking thru a travel agents.

We didnt have to do anything other than get our outfits and turn up!

We didnt bother much with the wedding planner because I wanted to do things myself i.e arrange flowers and stuff..I wanted to give it my own personal touch!

But, its all there if you want it... all you have to do is sit back and relax..it was sooooo easy!

You can make it like a home wedding if you want too.... or like us very laid back (I was supping Champagne round the pool the morning of the wedding).

I did 3 years ago in Nissi Beach Ayai Napa.

We arranged it ourseves. Contacted Ayai Napa Municipality they told us how much it would be and what documents we needed.
Emailed the Hotel to see if they could do it on the date we wanted.

It was just the two of us so we went for 2 weeks, had to go to town hall in the first week and register pay etc.

Then we just showed up at Hotel on the day got married infront of two witnesses, some cleaner and the hotel manager and then went and did our own thing.

Was great id do it again, but i think my mum would kill me if i did it without her again
