Manual removal of placenta !!TMI warning!!

Ok so i know its really early to be worrying about this but.... on my last baby (3rd) i had a bit a tough labour (he was back to back) but managed on just gas and air for the last 2 hours (out of 10!) and was devistated that i ended up havig to have manual removal! I had the injection to help get the placenta ot but t didn’t work. I squated with the cord hanging out for 5 hours with various people coming in and tugging it before they decided id have to go to surgery to have manual removal which meant leaving my baby a spinal and being alone throughout. Anyway i asked my midwife if it was likely to happen again and she said that it is more likely as there will be scar tissue for the placenta to get stuck to, i just wandered if anyone had had a manual removal and gone on to deliver the placenta with no problems next time round?? Xxx

I'm sorry I haven't anything helpful to say but didn't want to read and run! That sounds tough im really sorry to hear that you had to go through that and that they have said it might happen again! everything crossed that it goes well for you at the time xx

I had a manual removal of my placenta on my 2nd pregnancy which was a vbac. My 3rd I was induced and managed to deliver my placenta myself. I was told so many stories about how it would get stuck again but it actually came out really quick by itself xx
