My 30mth old has a lump on the right side of his neck and we think there's a secondary one coming up too. We took him to the drs before Xmas and said it was nothing. I took him back last week and saw a new dr and she was lovely and has referred him to have an ultrasound (still awaiting an appointment) has anyone else had any similar experience?

Yep we have. It was a lymphnode.

Nope. Everyone has them. They are meant to be there. They seem worrying because they are in different places on everybody so not consistent.

You were right to get it checked though, i was worried. Im sure it'll be fine Xx

I was going to say the same.

Has LO been ill recently? They often pop up when ill and can sometimes take a while to go down.

I have one on my neck and its been there for about 4 years lol.

Always best to get it checked though xx

I've had a lump in my neck since I was a baby. It's quite large (to touch, not see). I had tests done but its just a gland. When I'm poorly and my glands come up it is tender to touch.

It can be inflamed lymph node from vaccination. Did he have any jabs few weeks prior lumps appearing? They should disappear on its own with time. But they can also stay inflamed chronically and in some cases even require surgical removal. To avoid that try increasing vitamin C intake and enzymes (they should suppress inflamation and clean the nodes). Daily fresh fruit juices should do the trick. May also consider some vitamin C supplements, too.

No he's had no jabs for over a year before it appeared! He had an ultrasound and it is a lymph node it's just 1cm round but nothing nasty. Weve been told to keep an eye on it incase it gets bigger and we can go straight back if it does. Thanks ladies x
