Hi all,

I seem to be having a bit of a 'time' during my pregnancy, and thought I'd seek advice as I'm starting to wonder whether I am doing something wrong or is it just luck of the draw?

I know I shouldn't compare myself to others, but most of my friends who have had children have thoroughly enjoyed their pregnancies, where as I seem to be always ill and worrying!

At the beginning of my pregnancy I had awful morning sickness - although I referred to it as 'all day' sickness! I then had 3 weeks of feeling fairly normal, before my blood pressure dropped and I began fainting. That went by and I now have piles!

Am I just unlucky with my pregnancy or is it my diet that is contributing to me being unwell?

Im having bad times with mine. Not even sure if baby is alive and wont know untill 2 weeks time.

I think every pregnancy is different because my first was brilliant.

So sorry its going so bad but fingers crossed it will all pick up for you xx

Like archiesmummy said, every pregnancys different. I was very sick for the first 23 weeks then felt great until 31 weeks when rib pain kicked in! Some people sail through pregnancy whereas some hate it! Hope you feel better soon

OMG Archiesmummy, i hope everything is ok!

Emma, i think its only natural to compare ourselves to other people, thats how we learn. Unfortunately some do have tougher times than others, i have problems with dairy, meat and fish at the moment, morning sickness is back - i had about four weeks when i felt ok.
Your not doing anything wrong, babies just tend to have a mind of their own and what they feel goes. I understand that its difficult to enjoy your pregnancy when your not feeling well or are worried, so try and relax, im sure things will be fine.

I think everyone goes through that to be honest!! I was convinced at the 1st scan that they would say i was making the pregnancy up and when i got there they told me baby was 4 weeks further developed than i thought!!! Just try and keep positive for 2 weeks then once you've had that appointment the time will fly by!!!!

its definately the luck of the draw, my 1st 2 pregnancies were fantastic, i felt so healthy and great no sickness, a bit of spotting but that was it, then my 3rd was my worst pregnancy ever a but of sickness but bled constantly from 9 weeks I even heamoraged i bled that bad, my waters broke at 22 weeks but by some miracle he stayed in till 33 weeks after long stay in hospital, 4th baby was good except for the worry that it was all going to repeat itself doctors told me that the test i had came back positive at 31 weeks that i was going to go into labour anytime but no she stayed in till 39 weeks, my 5th i actually had morning sickness and everything went great after 10 weeks went it went, now this one started off as twins but lost 1, still got sickness now but hoping it goes soon. so you see even with the same person pregnancies are different and it made no difference if it was a boy or girl.

Emma, I agree with Collette - 'that it's only natural to compare ourselves to other people.'

This is my first pregnancy and, although I am very happy to be having a baby, I can honestly say that being pregnant is not my most favourite time of my life. There are so many things people never talk about regarding being pregnant...

I had evening sickness my first trimester and then I got a very painful hernia, not to mention the headaches. Now I am really BIG and dealing with heartburn quite often, not to mention the varicose veins!

Hang in there I am sure you will feel better.
