Lucemia drug for people with M.s?

My dad has m.s, hes had it since he was 21.
Hes just announced to me hes going to Thailand next year to take this drug thats for people with lucemia originally and he says its going to make him walk again.
I asked him if it was safe, and he no he could die.
I don't want him to take it, but another part of me thinnks if he wants to take it and theres a chance hell walk again then I shouldnt stop him.
Does anyone no anything about this new lucemia drug or anything?
