loss of apetite.. teething symptom?

I know that it can be a sign of teething discomfort but Lara will only take 5 oz instead of her usual 7-7 1/2 each feed... been like that for the last couple of days and I am worried that she will lose weight if it goes on much longer.

Has anyone experienced this with their LO? She is definitely in discomfort as she is very whiney and drooly and sucking her gums alot but no sign of a tooth yet...

Hi, Taylor went through a similar sort of thing, but it only lasted a couple of weeks and he was fine again. I think they can teeth way before they actually cut a tooth. The midwife told me aslong as they are drinking at least half of their feed then they'll be fine. If it carries on though it may be worth a visit to the doctor or health visitor.

I'm sure it will be fine hun don't worry. Jamie goes through fazes of eating more or less. Just think of it as they are just mini us. We don't always want our dinner & don't feel like eating sometimes esp. if we aren't feeling too good.
She'll be fine again in a few days.

Ellis drops his feeds too when teething i asked the same question a few months ago. dont worry hun.

Can u get her weighed every week, i do this and as long as he is gaining i dont care if he takes 2-6 ounces. Now i dont stress at all

Jakob has started drooling alot, not eating all his feeds, crying in discomfort, biting my finger and eating his fists alot lately too so i think he is teething earley too i think its the pain of the teeth developing but obviously he wont have any teeth for a while yet

Thanks everyone, Lara is definitely taking after me with her fussy feeding moments!! It seems that a couple of her daily feeds are tricky and she won't take much but the others she feeds OK.. just her total daily amount is quite down and she is shoving everything in her mouth that she sets her eyes on!!

I haven't had her weighed since before Xmas so will go on Monday...

thats wat i thought hun but alfie is cutting two now. everyone sats the front two come first but alfies is bottom number 2/or/3 and top back and fook me do i no about it im fooked
