I kept all mine when i was younger!! I told my mum i was keeping them for when i had children...and i did :D Loads of ladybird books, Dennis the Dragon, Mousetales...i love reading her my old books.

We have some old Richard Scarry books in my mums loft. They aren't very PC when you read them now. Mind you not alot was back then, I had books about wolves having stones stitched in their tummies, Hansel & Gretel gave me nightmares, Fe Fi Fo Fum was scary (grind his bones to make my bread)

Surprised all children of the 70's aren't all gibbering wrecks
