Anyone suffered from this almost constantly? I have what feels like period pains nearly all the time. Was very worried over the weekend, so popped down to the hospital and after having a poke around/BP/pulse/doppler decided that baby sounded happy and that it was probably ligament pain.

Can anyone suggest anything to ease it? I'm seriously considering being signed off work it's getting so bad :(

I'm taking paracetamol when I absolutely have to, have got a support belt and am trying to maintain a good posture..... I am also trying to get a referral to see a physio who specialises in pregnant women!

Any help would be hugely appreciated, it's feeling like I am collecting problems each week with this pregnancy!! :(

You poor thing, that sounds so awful! I had bad ligament paints on and off for ages. I just rested as much as I could and tried not to strain anything. From the sounds of it it probably wasn't as bad as yours is tbh but mine has eased off considerably in the last couple of weeks to just twinges rather than constant aching. I'm not sure if it's related but I got are pregnancy pillow and a lot of my aches and pains are eased and I feel much better rested. I used to get terrible pains in the night so it was a blessing to get rid of those for me.
A warm bath might be helpful and id recommend a pregnancy pillow.
Hope you find some relief soon :) x

Thanks, so was yours a constant ache then as well? Everything I have read seems to be on about sharp pains mainly when moving, but mine is more dull ache constantly. I can't help but worry - I think I'd be happier to be seen by a MW every day ;)

I have a pregnancy pillow, but can only lie on my back as my hips are too sore to lie on either side.... I might go home and have a warm bath this afternoon - sod work!!

Yeah it was constant ache with occasional sharp twinges! I was worried too, can't help but assume the worst every time.
The hip pain even with the pillow must be a nightmare, I was lucky I think, the pillow has stopped most of my hip pain. I do wholeheartedly agree that you should sod work and go have a bath though! Definitely worth a shot, might be just what you need :)
I also find if my OH rubs where I feel most sore it helps, he has really warm hands and its just so relaxing, especially at night.
Good luck! x

Thank you. It's nice to hear a 'real-life' story of something similar, helps to put my mind at rest somewhat! I have my 20 week scan next Monday, so I'm going to mention the pain to the MW again.
I have stayed on at work (had loads to do!) but will see how I'm feeling tomorrow, I may have an easy day at home! I feel like my colleagues are judging me, as the ones who have had children had easy pregnancies and the others haven't had children - I think they think I'm making a big fuss over nothing!

Just don't worry about them, theyre all very lucky. I have 3 sister in laws who have had 6 pregnancies between them that were all straightforward and 'perfect' as far as I know and I feel like I have to lie about how I feel sometime because I feel like a bit of a whiner or like I'm being pathetic in their eyes or something. As long as you know you're feeling how you feel that's all that counts, it's you who has to put up with it!
Hope you get some time to rest and relax soon :)

I have had a constant full ache for about 3 weeks now. I'm 15 weeks gone. It's actually stopped the last day but I was so worried I was in tears but it's nothing to worry about so I'm told. Relax :)
